

The history of the two characters, Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber,
is the major factor in the love for them to be a couple. The chemistry that the
characters have on screen is explosive. As for Steve Burton
and Rebecca Herbst, they do a
wonderful job portraying these two
characters with the scripts that are given to them.

|   | Elizabeth Webber overwhelmed with grief over the "death" of her first love, Lucky Spencer, Elizabeth got all dressed up for a night of relief. She headed over to the local bar Jake's looking to forget her pain for just a little while. Elizabeth found trouble in the form of an overly aggressive customer. Jason noticing she was in over her head, showed up to rescue her. Instead of Elizabeth being thankful for the help, turned her pain and anger on Jason. He soon got her to open up and the two bonded over the losses they both have had in their lives. From that night on, Jason and Elizabeth had formed a close friendship. |
| Over the next few months, Jason would take Elizabeth for rides on his motorcycle. They were there for each other when ever one of them needed to talk. When Jason was upset from not being able to see Michael, Elizabeth was there for him, to just listen. Jason was always there for her when she missed Lucky. Their friendship did not go unnoticed by Carly, Jason's long time friend, former lover, and mother to Michael. |

| On this night, all their lives were changed forever. Jason had gone to Kelly's when Elizabeth was closing. That night she was having a really hard time dealing with the memories of Lucky. She asked Jason to dance with her to see if it would bring back the feelings of dancing with Lucky. While they were dancing, a very jealous Carly was looking through the window's at them. Misinterpreting the scene, Carly went to confront Sonny, Jason's best friend and employer, about the relationship between Elizabeth and Jason. After an argument, Carly and Sonny ended up in bed together. While this was going on, Jason had gone to a meeting in Sonny's place with rivals of his. The meeting took a wrong turn and Jason ended up getting shot. Afterwards, Jason returns to the penthouse only to find that his best friend has slept with Carly. Feeling betrayed, Jason runds off and winds out passing out in the snow near the boxcar. |

| Elizabeth finds Jason in the snow. She gets him into the boxcar and goes to get him help. Jason refuses help from Sonny. Without any hesitation and any questions, Elizabeth moves him to her studio. Once there, Elizabeth began nursing Jason back to health with help from Bobbie and and interuptions from Carly. After a couple of weeks of Elizabeth keeping a recovering Jason in the studio people learned of his whereabouts. Even though everyone kept giving Elizabeth warnings about Jason and his dangerous life, she would not give up on their friendship. When Nikolas saw them in the studio together, he attacked Jason. Elizabeth led Nikolas to believe Jason and her were sleeping together so he would leave Jason alone. |

| At the annual General Hospital's Christmas Party Nikolas got into a shoving match with Jason in front of half the citizens of Port Charles and shouted out his rage that Jason and Elizabeth were sleeping together. Jason decided he was going to move out of the studio to protect Elizabeth from anymore pain caused by him. Even though Jason moved out, they continued their friendship. Certain enemies had taken note of how close Jason and Elizabeth were and decided to use this to their advantage and placed a bomb in the studio. Fortunately, Jason noticed somebody watching the studio and with the help of Roy Delucca got Elizabeth out of the studio and defused the bomb. This brough Jason's fears foward and he told Elizabeth that they could no longer be friends. Elizabeth wouldn't take no for an answer and convinced him to keep their friendship. |

| Desperate to protect everyone he cared about from danger, Jason decided to leave town. After a tearful goodbye and a kiss on the forehead, Jason road out of town leaving his life behind him. Jason returned in the fall of 2000 to help his friends and aid in the rescue of his sister Emily who had been kidnapped by Zander Smith. Jason and Elizabeth rekindled their special friendship. He helped her refocus her attention and forget her problems with the strange behavior of Lucky, who it turned out was not dead, but taken hostage by family enemies. After Emily was safe, Jason left Port Charles again. |

| Jason swoops back into town when he learned Sonny was in trouble. Going to Elizabeth's studio to see her and ask a favor. He asked her if he could stay in her studio and if she would not tell anyone that he was there. Elizabeth felt guilty about lying to Lucky, but agreed to help Jason and keep his secret. On Valentine's day, Jason and Elizabeth exchanged gifts, as Sorel's men torched the warehouse. A terrified Elizabeth watched as Jason ran into the burning building. The horror of loosing Jason in the fire was gone from her face when Jason and Sonny emerged from the building. Relieved that Jason was okay but unable to speak to him because Lucky was there, she allowed Lucky to take her home. Unable to keep the secret from Lucky any more, Elizabeth confessed that she knew Jason was in town before the fire. In anger, he wanted Elizabeth to end her friendship with Jason. She tried her best to stay away but kept finding herself lead to the comfort and understanding of Jason. |

| After reliving the horror of her rape being in front of the camera at the photo shoot for the Face of Deception, Elizabeth couldn't stand it anymore. Fustrated and confused she turned to Jason, the only one who would be able to comfort her and persuade her to follow her heart. Their feelings for each other were becoming too much to bear, and they almost kissed in his at Jake's, while Lucky was out desperately trying to find Elizabeth. Lucky had learned that Elizabeth was sneaking around to see Jason. In his anger and under the control of Helena, Lucky attacked Jason with a knife. Elizabeth seeing Jason beating Lucky accused him of starting it for no reason. Elizabeth out of fear and not trusting herself told Jason she never wanted to see him again. Jason agreed to stay away from her, but promised her he would never turn her away if she came to him |

| After a talk with an upset Emily about Jason. Elizabeth came to a realization that she felt something for Jason. Elizabeth ran into Jason in the park and admitted that they both wanted more than a friendship with each other. Unfortunately Lucky was still under the control of Helena and to unstable for Elizabeth to turn her back on, she was torn between following her heart and doing what was expected of her. Elizabeth admitted to Lucky that she had feelings for Jason. Lucky stormed out in a rampage to seek out Jason and confront him. Lucky found Jason and attacked him yet again. Elizabeth came upon Lucky on the ground and accused Jason of attacking him yet again, but Carly was quick to jump in and come to the defense of Jason. |

| Realizing that there was something definately wrong with Lucky, Elizabeth felt obligated to stand by him and deny any feelings she has for Jason. Having been on the recieving end of Lucky's anger twice, Jason was worried about Elizabeth's safety. Jason asked her to leave with him this time. Elizabeth told him she wanted to stay with Lucky because he needed her. After a very emotional goodbye Elizabeth walked away from him. The situation with Sonny and Sorel was becoming even more dangerous, forcing Jason to leave Port Charles once again. |
